  4. Now you will be asked to back up your secret phrase. Your secret phrase is the password that you will use to recover your wallet in case you ever lose access to your device. It is randomly generated and specific to your wallet alone. There are 2 options: Back up manually and Back up to Google Drive

Note: It is not recommended to use Google Drive or any online service to store your secret phrase. In any case where your Google account were to become compromised your secret phrase would also become available to anyone with access to your account. This would allow them to have complete control over your wallet and allow them to steal your crypto. It is paramount that you store your secret phrase in a secure offline location, as anyone with this secret phrase will have access to all of your crypto assets in your wallet.

  1. Select **“**Back up manually” then carefully read through and tick the boxes on the following page before tapping “Continue”.
